Sovereign Oaks is located 7 miles outside of downtown Asheville, NC as a planned community that integrates modern conveniences such as community Wi-Fi with progressive rural design principals. This inclusive community is designed around the natural setting alongside Warren Wilson College. With a focuses on the benefits of backyard farming, residents are encouraged to have gardens for food production as well as raise chickens for fresh eggs and bees to support pollination. Progressive Design Guidelines promote green building techniques, low-impact construction and renewable energy production through creative and conscientious design. As the project civil engineers, BEA worked closely with the land planning and development team to insure the engineering or roads, stormwater management, water are sewer systems are integrated with these design principals.
